WWII US Liberty Ship Models

This is a very fine reproduction of the ship that won the War.
This hand built mahogany model includes pewter and brass parts too.

We were NOT guards. We WERE US Navy Gun Crews consisting of Gunners, Coxswains and Boatswains, Radiomen, Signalmen, an occasional Pharmacist, and toward the end of the war a few radar men serving at sea on Merchant Ships. The Merchant Marine ran the ships and we provided gunnery protection and communications services. Our crews were small, our hearts
were large. The Merchant Crew took the same risks and many of them had been rejected by
the military services or requested to stay in the Merchant Marine where they were badly needed.
